Our 67 Firebird restoration project is moving along. We hope to be wrapping up the shell panel replacement in the next few months. Next, we’ll be removing the sub-frame and rear end and being prepping and painting under carriage. |

We haven't spent as mush time as we'd like working on the car. But the time we do get is quality. We are making progress. We picked a 67 400cu Pontiac engine, it's out being pressure tested and magna fluxed. it took 4 long days for us to degrease and dis-assemble it. We finished welding the quarter panels and tail panel. Next come the filler panel , then finally the roof. We're picking up a rotisserie on Sunday. It turns out a brother in law of a friend restored a 68 Camaro 10 years ago and built a rotisserie, he said that we borrow it for as long as we need it. We had just bought two engine stand and some square tube stock when we found the rotisserie. What a relief! |

Things have been a little slow on our end, I've been traveling a lot for work. The shell in on the rotisserie and we're blending in the floor panels to the floor (welding and Auto Zone seam sealer) and filling in some pin holes with weld. The engine block has been bored and the crank is being balanced. The pistons and cam are at the shop. The heads are being machined. With a little luck the engine could done by Summer. Not sure the car will be ready for an engine for awhile. |
| 9/5/07 | I just had tell everyone that the Firebird is off the rotisserie and rolling once again. The engine is coming soon. |

Just shy of 3 years of working on our Firebird and we made it to our first cruise night. We still have a ton of work to do, but it was great to show off what we have done. |
